Green Cavalry is a Mongolian non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to environmental conservation and combating climate change. Established in late 2013, the organization was founded with the mission of addressing the growing environmental challenges facing Mongolia, particularly the effects of climate change and land degradation.
One of Green Cavalry’s core objectives is to lead efforts in environmental rehabilitation and reforestation using native trees, shrubs, and plants that are well-adapted to the Mongolian climate. The organization is actively involved in restoring degraded landscapes, improving local biodiversity, and strengthening the resilience of natural ecosystems.
To support its mission, Green Cavalry operates a specialized nursery for cultivating trees, shrubs, and wild plant species, as well as a farming nursery that focuses on sustainable agricultural practices. These nurseries not only supply plants for reforestation projects but also serve as educational and research hubs for promoting eco-friendly land management and community involvement in conservation.
Through these efforts, Green Cavalry plays a vital role in protecting Mongolia’s natural heritage and promoting a greener, more sustainable future for the country.
